Death
ALBEMARLE—Funeral services for the Rev. Columbus C. Honeycutt, 85, Baptist minister of Lucust (sic), who died Wednesday, will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church by the Rev. E. J. Honeycutt and the Rev. E. W. Pate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a native of Stanley County. Surviving are his second wife, Mrs. Lula Hatley Honeycutt; four sons, the Revs. E. J. and Clyde Honeycutt, both of Albemarle, Loys C. Honeycutt of Locust and Melvin Honeycutt of Denton; one daughter, Mrs. Coy Barbee of Monroe; one step-daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Rowland of Rt. 1, Mt. Pleasant; two step-sons, Claude, Hatley and Grover Hatley, both of Rt. 1, Stanfield.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, January 28, 1966
