KANNAPOLIS — The funeral will be Friday for Loma Linker Furr Stallings, 89, formerly of Oakshade Avenue, who died Tuesday (Dec. 30, 1997) at Brian Center after five years of declining health. Born Jan. 6, 1908, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Issac Monroe and Avalene Fink Linker. A Baptist, she had retired from Cannon Mills, Plant 1, No. 7 weave room, after 10 years with the company. Survivors include sons Guy Furr and Lee Stallings, both of Kannapolis; daughter Sarah Barnette, Kannapolis; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services: 11 am. Friday, Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jerry W. Townsend. Burial in Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation: 7-9 tonight, at the funeral home.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, January 1, 1998
