Death

CONCORD - Mrs. Ollie Furr Lisenby, age 91, of Pinecrest Drive, passed away Thursday morning at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center. Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Ray Helms. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. The remaining time, they will be at the home of Richard and Judy Lisenby, 10710 Robert Bost Road, Midland. Ollie was born Aug. 7, 1917 in Cabarrus County to the late Henry and Bessie Furr. She was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. She also was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who always enjoyed her family. Ollie loved her garden, resulting from being raised on a farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl William Lisenby, and by eight brothers and sisters. Ollie is survived by daughter, Carolyn Wishon of Concord; son, Richard Lisenby and wife, Judy of Midland; grandchildren, Dennis Wishon and wife, Dede, Ann Margaret Bowers and husband, Mike, Jennifer Cowick and husband, Wesley, Tony Folsom and wife Christine, and Stephanie Boschee; great-grandchildren, Jimmy Wishon, Sarah Wishon, Bryan Foles, Melissa Bowers, Anthony Folsom, Christopher Ciafardini, Raymond Ciafardini, Kiersten Porter, and Logan Cowick. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital, 920 Church St. N. Concord, NC 28025.
