Death
CONCORD - Archie Franklin Furr, 34, of 511 North Church Street, died early Sunday in Duke Hospital, Durham, after a brief illness. Funeral service will be conducted at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Bible Presbyterian church, and burial will be in West Concord Memorial cemetery. The body was taken from Weddington and Mitchell to the home this morning. Born in Concord February 1, 1921, he was the son of Clyde D. and Fannie Hudson Furr. He was a member of Bible Presbyterian church and a veteran of World War II. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Ballard Furr: a daughter, Nyoka Jane Furr of the home: three sons, Wayne, Freddie and Rickie Furr of the home: two sisters, Mrs. Alice F. Hagler of Concord, Mrs. Betty J. Sherrill of Concord Route 2.The Daily Independent, Kannapolis, North Carolina, August 29, 1955
