Death
CHARLOTTE - Albert M. Furr, 80, of 8806 McCartney Way, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 at Universal Health Care. There will be a Memorial service at noon Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Concord with Mr. Ronnie Hagler officiating. Mr. Furr was born June 19, 1927 in Cabarrus County the son of the late Atlas Monroe Furr and the late Zella Elizabeth (Morgan) Furr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Cannon Mills Plant 6 as a Supervisor, twisting department. He was a member of Young Street Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy Furr, Ray Furr and Charles Edward Furr. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane (Jacobs) Furr of Charlotte, sons, Randy Furr of Concord, Craig Furr of New London and Tony Furr of Charlotte; sister, Colleen Haglar of Concord, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
