Death
Fred Furr, Jr., age 51 of Centerville died Wednesday, February 2, in the Veterans Hospital at Little Rock, Ark. He was a native of Centerville, the son of the late Fred Furr, Sr. and Julie Mitchell Furr. He was a retired barber and a Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Verdell Stone Furr of Centerville; two sons, James Furr of Centerville and Danny Furr of Ola; two daughters, Mrs. Sam Moore of Centerville and Miss Lyn Furr of the home; one half-brother, B.J. Furr of Jonesboro and two grandchildren. Graveside services and burial were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, at the Moore's Hill Cemetery near Centerville with the Rev. L.B. Findley officiating. Arrangements and services were in care of Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.Military
