Death
Lissie Greene Furr, 81, of 367 Kimberly Ave., Asheville, died Sunday at her home. A native of Cleveland County and an Asheville resident since 1925, she was a daughter of the late Dock Moore and Anna Bridges Greene. She was a charter member of Chatmore Club and was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Couples Club of the church. Surviving are her husband, Daniel M. Furr; a brother, Ted Greene of Candler; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Groce Funeral Home chapel. The Revs. Robert K. McGirt and Dr. C. Fred Werhan will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm. Monday at the funeral home.
