Death
Mrs. Rena Little Furr, 80, a native of Stanly county and mother of Carl A. Furr, Jr., formerly principal of Woodleaf school, died this morning at 1:30 o’clock in the Cabarrus hospital, Concord. Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Israel B. and Elizabeth Love Little of Stanly county. She had lived in Cabarrus county for about 50 years. She was a member of the Locus Baptist church. Funeral services will be held at 2p. m. Wednesday at St. Martin's Lutheran church at Georgeville with Rev. J. S. Wessinger and Dr. Casper Warren in charge. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, Concord. Surviving in addition to her husband, Carl A. Furr, and a son, Carl A. Furr, Jr., superintendent to Cabarrus county schools, are three daughters, three others sons, one sister and two brothers.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, December 23, 1947
