Death
Concord, Nov. 5 -- A single stalk Mrs. Clara Ann Furr, 55, who took her own life early Sunday morning as she lay in bed by firing a pistol bullet through her heart, were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Kerr Street Methodist church, burial following at the Center Grove church cemetery. Despondency over failing health was ascribed as one of the reasons for Mrs. Furr's act, which was put down as a clear case of suicide by Coroner Tracy N. Spencer, who ruled an inquest unnecessary after being summoned to the scene. Mrs. Fur was a native of Rowan county. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. A. L. Fry, of Concord, and two sons, M. W. Fur and A. F. Furr, both of this city.Endnotes
