ALBEMARLE — Alma Lucylle Green Furr, 78, 715 Monticello Drive, died Tuesday (Sept. 12, 2000) at her home. Born June 24, 1922, in Badin, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late James “J.P.” and Swannona Plyler Green. She was educated in the Albemarle City schools and had retired as a switchboard operator from the Albemarle City Schools. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include son Edward G. Furr, Albemarle; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held this morning at 11 a.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. David Rorie officiated. Burial, Fairview Cemetery. The family will be at the home on Monticello Drive.Endnotes
