Death
Lila Lorene Walker, 85, a retired cutter for an upholstery company, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at a Keene care facility. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Mountain Valley Chapel. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday the funeral home. Lila Walker was a Fort Worth area resident more than 70 years. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ and the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, and especially her morning coffee with her neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil E. Walker. Survivors: Son, James R. Furr and wife, Naomi of Joshua; daughter, Shirley K Shoemaker and husband, Jack of Danbury, Conn.; grandchildren, J. LaMon Furr and wife, Deana, of Weslaco, Joyce Hollenbeck and husband, Ron of Pasco, Wash., Michael Furr and wife, Peggy of Keene, Laurence Furr of Arlington, David Easter and wife, Lisa of Roxbury, Conn., Debbie Rizzo and husband, Michael of Bethel, Conn., Jackie Morrison and husband, Derek of Port Orange, Fla.; and 11 great-grandchildren.Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth, Texas, July 7, 2002
