Death
Cooper – Mrs. Mattie Furr Thompson, 78, formerly of Mount Joy community, died in Dallas at the home of a nephew, Council Furr, Wednesday night. The funeral will be held in Cooper, Friday at 10 a. m. at McDonald Funeral home, and interment made in Camp Shed Cemetery. Widow of O. G. Thompson, she leaves a brother, Claude Furr, Dallas; a sister Mrs. Maggie Rainbildt, Sherman, and several nieces and nephews.The Paris News, Paris, Texas, August 30, 1956
