Death
LINDALE. — James Melvin Furr, 62, died at his home here at 7 am. Tuesday after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Furr had lived in Lindale for the past three years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Central Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Central Baptist. Church with Rev. McDougle, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery under direction of York-Caudle-Gregory Funeral Home of Lindale. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pinkie Pearle Furr of Lindale; seven daughters, Mrs. Alice Louise Provan of Chicago, Mrs. Melvie Harmon of Dallas, Mrs. Harry J. Yocum, Miss Joy Lynn Furr, Miss Mary Nan Furr, Miss Lula Furr and Miss Wanda Sue Furr, all of Lindale; three sons, Gerald D. Furr, Richard Furr and Donald Ray Furr, all of Lindale; 10 grandchildren.Military
