Death
CONCORD -- George Madison Furr, 92, of 6070 Bost Cutoff Road, Concord, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord. A private funeral service will be held. Born Nov. 24, 1908, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late James Madison Furr and Clara Faggart Furr. He was a member of the Cold Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Furr was retired from Cannon Mills and was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Jesse F. Allmon of Concord, and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial may be made to the donor's choice. Gordon's Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant, is handing the arrangements.Endnotes
