Death

Olin Lee Furr, 50, of 16098 Pless Mill Road, Stanfield, died Wednesday, April 24, 1996, at 1:20 a.m. at his home. His funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Kinza Memorial Baptist Church, Stanfield. The Rev. Randy Berryhill and The Rev. Roy Lee Barbee will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. At other times, they will be at the home on Pless Mill Road. Born June 30, 1945, in Stanly County, he was the son of the late Lumus Bill and Gertha Kiker Furr and was a maintenance technician with Philip Morris USA, Concord. He was a member of Kinza Memorial Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He is survived by his wife, Dianna Sue Lambert Furr of the home; a son, Kevin Furr of Stanfield; a daughter, Angela P. Smith of Stanfield; a sister, Betty F. Love of Locust; and three grandsons. A brother, John Frank Furr, preceded him in death. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is in charge.
