Death
John Frank Furr, 54, of 6607 Hwy. 200, Concord, died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 1996, in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. His funeral was to be at 2 p.m. today in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. The Rev. Randy Berryhill and The Rev. Bill Flinchum were to officiate and burial was to be in St. Stephens Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Born Aug. 28, 1941, in Stanly County, he was a son of the late Lumus Bill and Gertha Kiker Furr and was a construction foreman for R.F. Shinn Utility Contractor. He is survived by his wife, Peggy B. Furr of the home; a son, Mike Furr of Locust; two daughters, Cindy Medlin and Pam Smith, both of Stanfield; two stepsons, Tony Honeycutt and Ronnie Honeycutt, both of Stanfield; a brother, Olin Furr of Stanfield; and nine grandchildren.
