Death

Harold Joe Furr, 62, of Mountain Pine, went to be with the Lord, July 28, 2014. He was born in Hot Springs on May 11, 1952 to his parents, Bobby Harold and Bettie Furr. Harold was a lifelong resident of Hot Springs, retiring from Weyerhaeuser after 31 years. He was a Member of Mountain Pine First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, along with his church family and his dogs. Harold is survived by his wife of 44 years, Billie Sue Furr, one son, Greg (Lisa) Furr of Hot Springs Village; two daughters, Sheila (Shane) Solano of Hot Springs, and Cindy (Michael) Griffin of Conway; seven grandchildren; Joshua Furr, Meggan Furr, Hunter Furr, Ashley Furr, Brendan Solano, Emily Griffin and Caroline Griffin; one great-grandson; Brayden Pulliam; his mother; three brothers; Kenny (Regina) Furr of Lonsdale, Gene Furr (Angie), and Ricky (Tina) Furr of Bismarck; and one sister, Darlene Tittle of Lonsdale. He is predeceased in death by his father. Arrangement by Gross Funeral home. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1st with the service to be Saturday, Aug 2nd. At Harold’s request, he will be cremated after the service.
