Mrs. Jean Lavell Stacy, age 85, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Jean was born April 1, 1937 to George Washington Furr and Nina Jean Furr. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Catherine Wassler, and her husband of 55 years Bennie Frank Stacy, Jr. Jean and Bennie renewed their vows at 50 years. Jean leaves to cherish her memory her siblings Carol Wilcox and husband Paul of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Robert Furr and wife Barbara of Cabot, Arkansas, Danny Furr and wife Vickie of Kentucky; sons Benny Eugene Stacy and wife Ladonna of Guy, Arkansas, Rickey Joe Stacy and wife Cheryl of Conway, Arkansas;daughters Rita McNamara and husband Patrick of Viera, Florida, Kathy Brooks and husband Jeffery of Conway, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren ; and one great great grandchild. Jean was a christian. She was a member at First Freewill Baptist of Conway for about 20 years. Jean retired from the human development center of Conway after working there for 28 years. She would bring children home with her for holidays because they didn't have a place to go. Jean loved to dance, take cruises, camping in Branson and in Florida. She won the stock car powder puff derby. She loved her children and grandchildren. Jean loved people and helping them. She loved to shop with her sister in law Barbara. Visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett Conway on Tuesday, May 10th from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at 2pm at Griffin Leggett Conway 1751 Dave Ward Drive. Burial will follow at Crestlawn in Conway.Endnotes
