Death
William “Bill” Barksdale, 70, of Brookhaven, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2019 surrounded by family at his residence. Bill was born in Lincoln County, Mississippi on December 1, 1949 to Walter Rankin Barksdale and Lynelle Young Barksdale. He was an avid golfer and loved all things Mississippi State, especially their athletic programs. Bill was a member of Fair River Baptist Church in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Bill is survived by his wife, Dianne Harris Barksdale; children, Emily B. Ferguson (Wesley), Kristy Tullos, and Shane Tullos; grandchildren, Tate Ferguson and Hayes Ferguson; brothers, Walter “Kin” Barksdale, Wayne Barksdale (Kendra), and Wayde Barksdale; sister, Wendy Moore (Jerry); as well as 8 nieces and nephews, and 7 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, William Thaddeus Barksdale. Visitation for Mr. Barksdale will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MSEndnotes
