Death
ALBEMARLE — Louise Tate Furr, 71, of 620 E Cannon Ave. died Tuesday, March 3, 1992, at Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 pm Thursday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. Harold McDonald. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9. Memorials may be made to Stanly County Library, 133 E Main St. Albemarle, NC 28001. Born March 12, 1920, in Marion, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Joshua Curtis and Mary Holleyfield Tate. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Albemarle. Survivors include her husband, Alma Loyd Furr, a son, Anthony L. Furr of Winston-Salem, a daughter, Peggy F. Wilson of Salisbury, a sister, Mrs. Charles Balentine of Waynesville, and five grandchildren.Endnotes
