Death

Deborah Furr Marshall passed away at her home after an extended illness on April 20, 2023, at the age of 62. She was surrounded by her closest family members. Debbie was well known for her soft gentle smile, tender heart, and compassion for those around her. Born to Owen and Ezetta Furr of Charlottesville on February 3, 1961, She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ron Marshall; daughters, Christina Marshall, and Heather Marshall and her husband, Joe Moneymaker, and son, Jonathan Marshall. Additionally grandchildren, Aiden Marshall and Chloe Lanzon; sisters, Karen Perkins, and Anita Riley; a brother, Allen Furr and his wife, Donna; mother-in-law, Gertrude Houchens; dear friend, Freddy Lanzon, and numerous nieces and nephews. While Debbie spent over 30 years working in retail, her true calling was to be a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed many of life's activities but most especially enjoyed family trips to the Outer Banks were she could be found on the beach with a fishing rod in her hands. Debbie was also an avid animal lover as the many pets that flowed through our home over the years could attest to. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday April 23, 2023, at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, Va. A funeral service will be held in the Free Union Church of the Brethren, 4152 Free Union Road, Free Union, Va., Monday, April 24, 2023, at 2 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at the church cemetery.
