Death
CONCORD Mr. Arthur Jason "Jack" Furr, Jr., 78, passed away unexpectedly Monday June 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Lisk and Peter Brouilette officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Jack was born May 26, 1933, in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Arthur Jason Furr, Sr. and Lola Blackwelder Furr. He retired as a home builder. He was a member of Friendship Southern Baptist Church where he served as deacon. Jack's hobbies included fishing and working a good summer garden. He was a history buff and liked watching all the shows that pertained to such, including the military channel. He also liked the good ol' westerns. Survivors include his loving wife, Doris Stallings Furr; his daughters, Cindy Baggarly and her husband, Eric, of Concord and Angela Case and her husband, Ben, of Great Falls, Va.; his grandchildren, Jeremy Baggarly and his wife, Christy; Natalie Eagleburger and her husband, Matt, and Benjamin Arthur Case; his great-grandchildren, Reid and Colton Baggarly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.Wilkinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
