Death
HIGH POINT — Inez Taylor Furr, 76, of 1229 East Chester Dr. died Monday at the home of her son in Houston, Texas. Born in Darlington on March 5, 1912, she was a daughter of the late George Mooney and Lela Justus Taylor. A retired clerk with S.E. Hauser Co, she was a member of Conrad Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. “Buck” Furr. Surviving are: four sons, Lane Furr, of Houston Texas, the Rev. Max Furr of Trujillo, Peru, Jimmy Furr of Morganton and George Furr of High Point; two sisters, Ruth Potts of High Point and Verna Brackins of Newport News, Va.; two brothers, Linwood Taylor of Archdale and J.D. Taylor of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Harold C. Davis Funeral Chapel of the Harold C. Davis Funeral Home in High Point with the Rev. Gene Booker officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point. The family requests memorials be given to Mobile Meals. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Harold C. Davis Funeral Home.The News-Herald, Morganton, North Carolina, March 17, 1988
