Death
Essie M. Rasted, 60, a former Escondidan residing in San Pedro, died Wednesday at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Harbor City. A native of Oklahoma, she was born Sept. 28, 1903, at Meeker. She was a food demonstrator for a meat processing company. She is survived by her husband, Henry; a son, Robert Glen Davis of Escondido; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Willoughby of Oklahoma City and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Palm Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Wyman L. Witt, pastor of the Orange Glen Baptist Church, will officiate. Funeral services were held for Mrs. Essie M. Rasted of San Pedro, Calif., Friday, December 13, at Escondido, Calf. She will be remembered as Mrs. Pete Davis, formerly of Morris. Mrs. Rasted passed away on December 11. Death was attributed to a heart attack. She was scheduled to have had corrective heart surgery December 17 at Los Angeles. She is survived by her husband Henry Rasted of San Pedro; a sister Mrs. Mable Willoughby of Oklahoma City; a son Robert Glen Davis of Escondido, Calif., and five grandchildren. Glen Davis was born in Morris and received his elementary education in school the Morris school. Pete Davis died in Los Angeles, December 21, 1955.
