Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs. Trula Belle Hatley Furr, 74, of Route 6, died 7:30 a.m. Sunday in Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder WE Staley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Lefler's Funeral Home in Albemarle tonight from 7 to 9 o’clock. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born Sept. 8, 1907 in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late W. J. and Elizabeth Tucker Hatley. She was a homemaker and a member of Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Her husband, William Rufus Furr, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Roscoe J. and Paul G. Furr, both of Albemarle, two brothers Mathie Hatley of Albemarle and Huston Hatley of Mt. Pleasant, two sisters, Mrs. Essie Almond of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Ruth Bowers of Concord three grand- children and six great-grandchildren.Endnotes
