Death
Leon Cobb, age 80, of Dover died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 20, 1941, in Dover to Garland Cobb and Alma Grave Furr. He loved people and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eltra Cobb; a brother, Ira Gene Cobb; and a sister, Wilma Sue Tackett. Survivors include two sisters, Peggy Weatherman of Hector, and Wanda Tripp of London; his nephew, Arlos and Linda Dotson of Dover; and many other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Collie and the Rev. Jackie Pledger officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
