Death

Ira Gene Cobb, 71, a resident of Dover, died Saturday, August 8, 2009, at his home. He was born September 30, 1937, at Dover to Garland and Alma Furr Cobb. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Wilma Cobb and Bonnie Cline Cobb; and a sister, Wilma Sue Tackett. Survivors include one brother and sister in-law, Leon and Eltra Cobb of Dover; two sisters and a brother in-law, Peggy and Preston Weatherman of Hector, and Wanda Tripp of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews. A family conducted memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church at Dover at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2009, with the Rev. Jeff Paxton and the Rev. Don Hankins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
