Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Furr Tarleton, 73, of Route 2, Stanfield, were conducted at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Love's Grove United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Jim Allred and Rev. John H. Connell officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Tarleton died Monday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Born in Stanly County January 8, 1900, Mrs. Tarleton was a daughter of the late Durant and Lexie Arey Furr. Surviving are her husband, James W. Tarleton; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Smith and Mrs. Boyd Krimminger of Concord; and two brothers, Wilbur Furr and Ralph D. Furr of Concord.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, July 13, 1973
