Pauline “Polly” Furr, of The Woodlands, TX and formerly of Gautier passed away on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 in Shenandoah, Texas. She was born in Tipton County, Tennessee. Mrs. Furr was a graduate of University School of Nuring in Memphis, TN and graduate of Anesthesia Barnes Hopsital in Washington at University of St. Louis, Missouri. She served inU.S. Navy Nurse Corp during WWII. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gautier, Singing River Lender 65, and Singing River Mall Walker Club. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Furr, Sr and sister, Marcelle Ragan. She is survived by one son and one daughter, J. B. Furr, Jr. (Betty), Gautier; Clare Smith, The Woodlands, TX; four grandchildren, J.B. Furr, III (Sabrina). Analee Marshall (Stephen), Amber and Derek De Pasquale. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, 10:00am, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula with Rev. M.L. McCormick and Rev. James Salter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, MS. Pallbearers will be Johnny Trussell, Ronnie Knight, Terry Saucier, Stephen Marshall, Derek DePasquale, J.B. Furr, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bruce Maghan and Richard McCaskey.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to charity of your choice or First United Methodist Church in Gautier.Endnotes
