SICILY ISLAND, La. - Services for Anna Cloy Furr, 87, of Sicily Island, who died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Mary Anna Nursing Home in Wisner, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Emanuel officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Park Mausoleum in Sicily Island under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Furr was born Nov. 8, 1914, in McCall Creek, the daughter of Richard H. and Pinkie B. Cloy. She was a retired U.S. Postal employee of Sicily Island and a member of First United Methodist Church of Sicily Island. Mrs. Furr was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny M. Cole; her second husband, Garland L. Furr; five brothers, Frank Cloy, Johnny Cloy, Gerald Cloy, Charles Cloy and Wallace Cloy; and one sister, Nellie Hair. Survivors include one sister, Bamie Lee Stubbs of Lafayette and two brothers, Jarvis Cloy and Billy Cloy, both of Baton Rouge.
