Death
PARCHMAN, Miss. (AP) — An investigation is underway into the stabbing death of a Mississippi State Penitentiary inmate who died in the barracks of Camp Five, Supt. Jack Reed said. Reed said the slain inmate was identified as Roy Furr, 39, who had served about two years of a seven-year term for burglary and larceny from Lincoln County. Reed said the stabbing, apparently done with a handmade knife, followed an argument about 4:30 a.m. Sunday. He said further details were not available.Sun Herald, Biloxi, Mississippi, July 15, 1974
