Death
Mason L. Furr, born February 29, 1932 in Tylertown, MS passed away March 9, 2005 at home in El Paso, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and the Korean War. He then became a resident of Vancleave, MS where he worked as a shipbuilder at Cavasavich Shipyard for 25 years. Then moved to El Paso where he worked for Brown and Root as an industrial mechanic. He was loved for his selflessness, hard work and strong family values. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Furr; his children, Mason Furr Jr. and wife, Nancy; David P. Furr; Anita and husband, David Pena; and Grace and husband, Morris Kellam; his brother, Bill "Monk" Furr and wife, Dot. Funeral Service was held at Restlawn Funeral Home, 4848 Alps Dr., El Paso, TX 79904 on Friday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. Burial at a later date. A husband, a dad, a grandpa and a great-grandpa, who will be greatly missed.The Sun Herald, Biloxi, Mississippi, March 12, 2005
