Death
BOGALUSA — Mrs. Lucy Rose Hemphill, age 82, died last night at 8 p.m. at Lane Memorial Nursing Home in Zachary, La. She was a resident of Zachary and former resident of Bogalusa. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hemphill Sr. She is survived by one son, James (Jim) Hemphill Jr. of Zachary; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Brooks of Springfield, La., Mrs. Oneal (Eugenia) Corkern and Mrs, Clarence (Jewel) Brand of Bogalusa; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be today at the Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. and after 8:20 a.m. tomorrow. A chapel funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow by the Rev. Roger Bowers.
