Death
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Mr. Lester A. Furr, Jr., 67, died February 10, 2003 at Loris Community Hospital. Born in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Lester A. and Ardenia Blake Furr, Sr. Mr. Furr was a member of the Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church and he was a veteran. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Furr of North Myrtle Beach; one son, Lester A. Furr III of Columbia, SC; four daughters, Pamala Truesdale of Pageland, SC; Lynn Wright of Kingsport, TN; Lanne Burr of Deep Creek, NC; Heidi Walters of Poplarville, MS; seven brothers, Tim, Rick, Arthur, Steve, Ronnie, Mike and Donnie Furr, all of Charlotte, NC; four sisters, Peggy McGee of Collettsville, NC; Janet Gibson of Mt. Holly, NC; Diane Furr of Charlotte; and Judy Mills of Loris, SC; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday at Lee Funeral Home and a graveside service will be on Wednesday at 1 PM in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Charlotte, NC. The Rev. M.L. Walters will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church, P.O. Box 787, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29597.
