Death
Edward Vernon Little, 85, of Concord, passed away Sunday evening, November 10, 2019 at his residence in Concord. Vernon was born August 23, 1934 in Concord North Carolina to the late Edward Glenn Little and the late Irene Furr Little. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ethel G. Little. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Billy Jack Little. The family will receive friends from Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Services will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel officiated by Pastor Perry Hines. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Korean war. Mr. Little was retired from the Concord Telephone Company after 32 years of loyal service. He was also the owner of Ver-El Mobile Home Park. Vernon enjoyed the outdoors, trips to the mountains and spending time with his family. Mr. Little was well known locally and had many friends throughout the United States. Survivors include his son, Jerome Little; daughter, Mantra Kluttz (Michael) of Concord. Also surviving are his two brothers, A.F. "Fletch" Little (Betty), C.F. "Buck" Little (Melissa) of Concord; Grandchildren, Bethany Little, Brandee O'Neal (Jack), Heather Jackson (Jordan), Justin Kluttz and Jesse Kluttz; Great granddaughter, Sophie Kay O'Neal. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roberta United Methodist Church, 3925 Cochran Road, Concord, NC 28027. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Little family.Endnotes
