Death
CONCORD — Funeral rites will be held at 4 P. M. today at the Weddington & Mitchell Funeral Parlor for Wesley Pickton Furr, 52, who died Wednesday at the Cabarrus Hospital. He had been in failing health several years and critically ill since Monday. The Rev. Ivan P. Alls, pastor of the First Church of God, will conduct the last rites, and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Furr was born in Cabarrus County Oct. 12, 1895 and was the son of the late Willis S. and Louise Gadd Furr. He is survived by the wife, Mrs. Blanche Cullins Furr; one son, Lewis James Furr; one brother, William C. Furr, and one sister, Mrs. Valda Furr Boyd, all of Concord.The Charlotte News, Charlotte, North Carolina, November 14, 1947
