Individual Details
Ellen Priscilla WATKINS
(17 Apr 1860 - 12 May 1943)
The 1900 census refers to her as Ellen V, but that's the only source I've seen that provided a "V". On the other hand, her death certificate calls her "Ellen Priscilla".
Source 7: except as noted.
1900 census claims 10 children with 8 living.
-- MERGED NOTE ------------
At one time, I incorrectly listed Ellen as a child of Albert and Abigail Cottle. This was because of an incorrectly indexed 1880 census record on FamilySearch.
She is not listed in either obit as a surviving child.
The cemetery listings of the Cottle children on Find-A-Grave do not list her as a sister.
The 1880 census record actually shows an Ellen as a daughter-in-law, born in PA, with parents born in PA.

Notes
Birth
Death certificate gives a birth date of April 17, 1862.However, the 1900 census specifically states a birthdate of August 1860 and is supported by the age of "20" given in the 1880 census.
I'm taking the April 17 as correct, but the weight of evidence suggests that the year is 1860.
Marriage
Inference from:-birthdates of children and
-listed as daughter-in-law in 1880 census of Cottle family

Furthermore, she's buried in the Cottle plot. Finally, her death certificate states that she's widowed from Leslie Cottle. So I conclude that this is simply a living arrangement of trading housekeeping for shelter.
The Albert/Leslie Cottle probate papers suggest that this arrangement began as early as 1903.
Burial
According to death certificate, buried on May 16, 1943.Funeral director was Delbert D. Heet[?] of Lock Haven.
