Notes
Birth
He was born of French parents under the name De Lannoy or possibly De La Noye. In the New World, his family name was rendered in various ways, including Delanoe, Delanoy, and Dilano. I've accepted the birthdate given by the Great Migrations project, which is consistent with the baptism date, rather than the 1602 date given by the Delano family history.Arrival
He may have originally sailed on the Speedwell, the companion ship of the Mayflower that was forced to turn back. He eventually arrived at the colony aboard the Fortune.Military
Military Record 1637.Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States

Marriage
This differs from the 1657 date given by the Delano family history.Death
He died sometime between the date of his will and the date of its probate. The Delano family history gives a location of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Anderson's Great Migrations disagrees with the location.Endnotes
