Benjamin and William have the same address in the 1840 city directory: 23 Federal St., which is in Ward 4.Residence
Benjamin's census record shows a man and woman aged 30-39, presumably him and Uretta. It also shows four apparent children:
Female aged 5-9 (born 1831-1835), apparently Keziah
Male aged 5-9 (born 1831-1835), apparently Edward
Female under age 5 (born 1835-1840), apparently Mary Louise
Male under age 5 (born 1835-1840), apparently Benjamin

Troy City Directory. This is the final directory entry for him.Death
Troy Burial Records (see Zotero) has an entry for1841: Benj. Van Curin, d. 22 June, aged 35y, WM, [marriage status blank which appears to denote single], "native" [as for most entries]
This would have been an appropriate date of death for a Benjamin whose last city directory entry was in the 1841 directory. It also would have been an appropriate age to have married Uretta and to have children when he did. Finally, it's a better fit to the 1840 census record.
The original entry could be viewed on FHL film 1434103, but that film is locked and must be viewed at an affiliate library.
I was eventually able to view the film. The only new information is that neither the "married" nor the "unmarried" column is checked. Source information appears below:
