In the 1870 census of Madison Twp, Montg Co OH, "Lizzie" is listed as "20 [years old]" living in the household of her parents, Simon and Margaret Dulot.In the 1880 census of Madison Twp, Montg Co OH, "Elizabeth" in listed as "31 [years of age]" living in the household of her husband, John T. Helstern, and three children, George (8 years old), Cora M. (6 years old) and Margaret (4 years old).
In the 1900 census Elizabeth's birthday is listed as "Nov 1850", her date of "naturalization [was] 1860" and she and both of her parents were born in "Germany'"
Immigration
Her birthplace is listed as Alsace Loraine. Her parents were both born in Byran Bavaria; her sister, born 1851 (one year younger), was born in Bavaria. Her 3 younger sisters, born 1853, 1857 and 1868, according to a 1996 genealogy compiled by Charlotte Helstern (Musselman/Paugh) were all born in Ohio. That would indicate an emigration date earlier than 1860.1880 Census indicates her birthplace as "Bavaria."
1910 Census indicates that she "arrived in 1860"
Marriage
John Helstern's signature on this document ("John L."does not match the initials on his grave marker in Ehrstine Cemetery ("J.T.").Death
Obituary says she died "July 20th, 1921 at age 71 years, 7 months, and 25 days." This leaves a discrepancy with the birth date listed.Cause of death is listed as "chronic myocardial insufficiency"
Social Security Death index lists her death date as "20 Apr 1921."
