Clarence Haines ROSENBERGER

did gratuate study at Temple University (Philadelphia), Garrett
Seminary (Evanston, IL), and Lancaster Seminary (Lancaster PA) An
ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren he served as pastor in
Woodworth, Ohio, summer of 1938, Salem, Indiana (1939-1940); Osceola,
Indiana (1940-1941); Plumcreek, Oakdale, and Cowanshannock,
Pennsylvania (1941-1946); Scalp Level, Pennsylvania (1946-1954); East
Petersburg, Pennsylvania (1969-1974); and Covington, Ohio (1974-1979).
In addition he served as Director of Church Relations at Juniata
College, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, from 1954 until 1969. He retired
from the pastoral ministry on August 31, 1979. He served as volunteer
Pastor to Pastors in the Southern Ohio District from 1986 until 1994.
He lived at 822 Chestnut Circle, Greenville, Ohio, from 1986 until five months before his death in the medical center of Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.

Clarence Rosenberger recalled that "We were engaged Christmas week of 1937 in Lansdale PA." (Videotape #1)"We were married September 3, 1938 on the Neiderhiser farm lawn [near Mt. Pleasant PA]"
Occupation
1941 until 1945 he served as pastor of Plum Creek Church of the Brethren near Indiana, PA..From 1945 until 1954 he was pastor at Scalp Level Church of the Brethren near Johnstown, PA.
From 1954 until 1969 he was Church Relations Director for Juniata College in Huntingdon PA.
From 1969 to 1970 he was pastor of the East Petersburg PA Church of the Brethren and from 1970 to his retirement in 1979 he pastored the Church of the Brethren in Covington OH.
Mission
To qualify for this position, he had to be inducted into the Merchant Marines, which he was able to do by "affirming" his loyalty to the U.S. Such Merchant Marine service qualified him for "a military pension and a military funeral" he reported on video #1 of "Our Glorious Century," his videotape record of his life.Endnotes
