Death

The Flora [Illinois] Journal-Record, 22 April 1926: "It was indeed sad to learn of the death of Herbert E. Wineland, Thursday evening, April 15, 1926, shortly after 4:00 o'clock, who was just entering into manhood. He lived a few days past his 22nd birthday anniversary. Herbert had been in Springfield, Illinois, for several years, after he was graduated from the H.R.T.H.S. with the class of 1921, where he was employed as bookkeeper in the Springfield Security Savings bank. Last December he was taken ill and it was deemed necessary for him to go to the hospital. After being a patient at the hospital for several weeks he came to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Wineland, 320 East Second Street, Flora, where he remaned until the Angel of Death called him...."
