April 15, 1938: T. Wyman Thompson Interview, Ketchum, Oklahoma. Journalist: James R. Carselowey: (I was only interested in one section of his interview): We purchased this other brick residence (across from Tiblow) shortly after our marriage and lived there for several years, finally trading it for a farm joining the town of Big Cabin to a man by the name of John Brown. Brown conducted the old ferryboat between his house and Ketchum for several years. The ferry is now doing land office business between the boom towns of Ketchum and Disney on account of the building of the Grand River Dam. There being no bridge near, it became necessary to enlarge the boat and in 1938 a twelve car boat was built and a motor installed. It now ferries twelve cars each way and is kept busy from early morning until late at night.
