Dr. William Wright Haden
Dr. Haden was born May 27, 1857 at New Hope, Madison County, Alabama.
He was graduated in medicine from Vanderbilt University in 1891. Since that time, he practiced his profession at New Hope and Huntsville. As a practitioner, he was highly esteemed both by his patients and the men of the medical profession. he was a regular and loyal member of the Madison County Medical Society.
In 1879, he married Miss Lucy A. Vann. There were six children of this marriage, four of
whom are now living. He married Miss Anna L. Wallace December 6th, 1894. Five children were born to this union, three of whom are now living. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. W. W. Haden, and seven children.
On the morning of August 13th, he was called into his eternal rest.
He was a loyal church member and for more than fifty-five years a steward in the Methodist church. A true husband, a devoted father, a faithful friend and a wise councilor has ceased his walk among us.

Funeral Held for Dr. Haden
Body of Veteran Huntsville Physician Interred in Maple Hill
Funeral services for Dr. William Wright Haden, who at his home on Whitesburg drive yesterday, were held this afternoon at 3:30 from the Holmes Street Methodist church. Rev. W. D. Barnes and Rev. Robert Echols conducted the service.
Interment was made in Maple Hill cemetery with Womack in charge.
Dr. Haden was a practicing physician in Huntsville for many years and was well-known throughout the Tennessee Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna L. Haden, four daughters and three sons.

Marker is inscribed "A friend to the poor"
