James M. Benefield of El Centro, Calif., died on April 18th. He was born in Briggsville and raised in the Ola area. He was the son of the late James Marcus and Mary Augusta Benefield.
He is survived by five sons, Paul, Charles and Kenneth of El Centro, Calif., Robert and James Benefield of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Patsy Benefield of San Diego; four brothers, Cleo, Max and J.B. Benefield of El Centro and M.C. Benefield of Ola; two sisters, Mrs. Arlene Smith of El Centro and Mrs. Hilda Hacker of Ola; and seven gran children.
Funeral services were held April 21st at Hems Funeral Home in El Centro and burial will be the Mount Zion Cemetery in Briggsville (Yell County, Arkansas).
