Daniel Morse was admitted freeman at Watertowh, 6 May 1635. His father, Samuel Morse departed London, 15 Apr 1635 in the Increase. Samuel was aged 50 years; Elizabeth Morse, 48; Joseph Morse, 20; and Elizabeth Daniel, aged 2 years (probably a grandchild). Samuel settled first in Watertown but moved to Dedham at its first settlement in 1636. He died 1654, leaving a will - sons, John, Daniel & Joseph, and a daughter Mary.

Children: Lydia Wight Partridge, Esther Wight Daniels(wife of Robert Daniels), Ephraim Wight Jr, Miriam Wight Allen, Nathaniel Wight, Daniel Wight, Bethia Wight Bullard, Deborah Wight Boyden, and Ruth Wight Harding.
