Baptised by the Moravians at Wachovia church, Easter Sunday, along with his cousin Henirich, son of Heinrich & Anna Harman, by the Rev. John Michael Graff.
Valentine lived in Rowan Co by 1790, a part that became Davidson Co, 1822. He apparently died between the 1840 and 1850 censuses. He married Catherine Waggoner, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Harmon) Waggoner. Elizabeth Harmon was the daughter of George Harmon of Rowan, later Randolph Co, NC. Catherine was living with her son, another Valentine in 1850, Davidson Co.
