Listed on the same page was Samuel Vance, living alone, age 20-30 - possibly Patrick & Elizabeth's son of that name except that Samuel should have been about age 38 by 1830. This particular Samuel in the census might be a grandson.
James & David, two of Patrick's sons by his first wife were also on p.324.
John Vance, another brother of James & David, was on p.299.
