Jane was the daughter of Michael Woods said born in Dunshanglin Castle, Meath, Ireland 1708 and died March 1777 in Botetourt Co VA. He is said to have come 1724 to Lancaster PA

He is said to be listed in the Albemarle Co of Militia, in defence and protection of the frontier against the Indians, Sept 1758. Hening's Statutes VII, p.203.
Lieutenant in the 47th Segt, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Company.

Michael Woods was married to Anne Lambert.

Will dated 29 May 1776 and proved 11 Mar 1777; on file in the clerk's office at Fincastle, Botetourt Co VA. WB 1, p.75-76

To my beloved wife Anne Woods, 5 pounds out of the first Bond due from Burck's estate and the whole of the last Bond due from the estate to me for her use and support of my two youngest daughters Ann and Margaret, also her bed & furniture and 3 cows and calves and a horse and her maintenance on the Plantation during life if agreeable to herself to stay there.
Appoint my son David Woods and loving friend John Bowyer, Esq as Executors.
