Robert was the youngest son; he was a physician and lived at Dedham, Colchester, and London. He was probably the Robert Sherman baptized at Dedham 6 Feb 1559/60. Two of his daughters, Jane & Anne, are mentioned in his father's will in 1589. He married in Dedham, 9 Dec 1583, to Barbara Browne, and (2) in 1597 to Bridget Jenney.

Robert Sherman of London, Doctor of Phissick, wrote his will 10 Jan 1602 and it was proved 10 days later. Personal property to be sold and divided into three parts - one to discharge debts, one part to wife Bridget, one part to the four children Jane, Mary, Anne, and Robert. Freehold land to his wife and then to son Richard. Brother Henry Sherman, executor.
